CamerAlert for Android Updated – Various Bugs Fixed

We have just submitted the first update to CamerAlert 2.0 for Android to the Google Play Store. It should, hopefully, go live in the next day or so.

The following fixes and changes have been implemented in v891:

New Additions

  • Added: Version no. now includes build number to help with support.
  • Added: Coloured the car icon to show when Driving mode is on/off

Changes

  • Changed: Driving mode now active by default on app launch.
  • Changed: Removed the automatic shutdown after 15min of no movement in background as this was contributing towards crashes – please use ‘Exit’ from the main menu or ‘Stop alerts’ in the Background Notification to fully close the app.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: Average Speed is now shown in ListView so that the user can turn it off/on.
  • Fixed: Users can now correctly switch between List and Map views without affecting average speed display.
  • Fixed: List view button now displays correctly when switching between ‘Show map never’ and Show map near camera’
  • Fixed: Direction arrows in List view now correctly point to location of camera.
  • Fixed: Hide cameras behind me (List view) now works correctly.
  • Fixed: Occasional background crashes on some devices should now be fixed.
  • Fixed: Occasional start-up crashes on some devices should now be fixed.
Fixed: Show Map Never was still showing the map on approach to camera.
